Details on Service Types
Information on the dialog Service types in the context of Desktop Electrical.
Before designing cable trays or conduits, select a service type that is automatically assigned to the new design.

Table
New service type: Creates a new row with a new service type.
Duplicate service type: Copies the currently selected service type.

Column | Description |
---|---|
Abbreviation | The abbreviation is an abbreviation of the service type and is generally used for the parameter of the service type. The code can be changed. |
Name | Name of the service type. The name is used in the meta data for the designation of the service type and can be customized. |
Color | The color in which a conduit or cable tray is displayed in the model. Clicking on the color opens the Color dialog in which you can change the color. |
Storey by storey | Enabled: The storey designation of the current construction level is added to the service type of the conduit or cable tray in the meta data. Storey information supports the determination of cable lengths in design software such as Caneco BT. |
Line pattern/Fill pattern | Drop-down lists for selecting line and fill patterns for the designed conduits or cable trays. The number of available patterns corresponds to the number of patterns provided in the project. |

Default values: Resets the current configuration to the default settings. Deleted standard service types are also restored.
: Opens the file explorer, in which you can load a previously saved configuration for use in the current project.
: Opens the file explorer in which you can save the current configuration.
