Exporting Project Data

Get basic information on exporting Project data.

With the LINEAR Solutions you can export your projects to various formats. Various functions are available to you for this purpose.

You can export building models including all system and calculation data in IFC format. You can specify whether the system assignment of the components is also exported. If there are block references in your drawing, you can also export these if required. You can use various information levels to specify exactly which component parameters are exported in which planning phase. To do this, you must specify in parameter management which parameters and, if applicable, data types are to be exported in the individual information levels.

The metadata stored to components can be transferred to individual properties of IFC property sets. IFC parameters are used for the transfer, to which LINEAR parameters containing the component data are assigned. You can customize the assignments used for this to suit the needs of your project and save them in mapping files. These files are then available for IFC MEP export.

You can use component lists to export individual compilations of required component data for all components in the drawing. You can then edit these in Microsoft Excel and import them again or pass them to others as required.

Furthermore, you can create a list of all layers contained in the current drawing. You can also generate isometric views from building models. You can create 2D images for sharing revision drawings or for plotting in 2D style. You can also convert LINEAR objects to standard CAD objects so that you can easily pass the proxy-free drawing to other CAD systems. For room lighting design, you can export the room data from your drawing in a file format compatible with the DIALux lighting design software.
