Creating an IIS Response File for Uninstalling of the LINEAR Solutions in a Network
Shows step-by-step how to create an IIS response file for silent uninstallation over a network.
Before you begin
You want to create an ISS response file so that it can be used by administrators for unattended uninstallation of LINEAR Solutions programs over a network.
Requirement:
The LINEAR Solutions programs to be uninstalled are installed on your computer.
Navigate to:
Procedure
- Start the Windows command prompt with administrator rights.
- In the command prompt, use the cd command to navigate to the installation directory of the LINEAR Solutions Note: Make sure that you do not navigate to the Setup folder, but to the LINEAR Solutions xx folder.
- Execute the Setup.exe file with the following start parameters: Setup.exe /r /f1 "*your storage path*\unattended-Solutionsxx-install.iis". Tip: The parameter /r stands for "record" and the parameter /f1 specifies the folder in which the ISS response file is saved (e.g. Setup.exe /r /f1 "C:\LINEAR\unattended-Solutionsxx-install.iis").
- Select the uninstallation language.
- Carry out the individual uninstallation steps and select the settings you want to save in the ISS response file in the dialogs.
Results
Once the uninstallation is complete, the ISS response file is saved in the folder specified as a parameter.
