Insert And Configure Mounting Elements And Components
Explains the concept of the command group Components on the Create tab of the discipline Mounting Planning.
In the command group Components, all functions and commands for the positioning and configuration of mounting elements or components are available to you. Here you will also find the function that allows you to import D3D files exported from Revit into AutoCAD, thus inserting pipe, duct, or electric designs created in Revit into your drawing.
Different mounting elements are available for securing 3D pipes, air ducts, and 3D electric cable trays to walls, ceilings, and floors. The mounting elements can be placed individually or multiple mounting elements can be automatically placed on a specified section with predetermined spacing.
Launch LINEAR CAD Browser to access an extensive CAD Library with manufacturer components that can be used in your drawing.
In addition, you can create and edit component connections for custom components. If universal component connections were created during the import of 3D pipe, duct, or electrical designs created in Revit, these can be corrected with the corresponding function if necessary.
