Labeling

Get basic information on labeling drawings and drawing elements.

The LINEAR Control Board offers various options for labeling drawings and drawing elements.

You can label the pipe sections and components of your drawing with the data determined by the calculation. The data is obtained directly from the calculation and not from the information stored on the component. Predefined labeling configurations for each network object type are available for this purpose. You can adapt the individual labels as required, as well as create your own labels. When labeling with calculation data, the label file set for the network object type is automatically used by the component selection. The used labels are block references in which the variables are defined as attributes.

In addition to labeling with calculation data from the Analyse modules, you have further options for labeling components or other drawing elements such as slots or openings in the 2D and 3D planning types. You can use the labels provided by the program to write design data such as dimensions, weight, distances etc. to elements. The data stored on the elements is accessed directly. In the different disciplines, different predefined labels are available for this purpose, which you can adapt as needed. The placed labels are LINDBLABEL elements in which the variables are defined in single or multi-line text elements. In some of the labels, attribute definitions are also used.

You can also create your own labels in which you can use all the data saved on the drawing elements. Use the component list dialog so that the program automatically offers you all the parameters of the elements available in the drawing for your label. Alternatively, you can create your own labels in the labeling area or adapt and enhance existing labels to your needs.

If you want to add additional texts or strings to your drawing, the Control Board provides you with various tools for this purpose. You can also use these tools to add missing room tags or add height marks to pipes. You can control the appearance of the added elements using various text settings. In addition, functions are also available for subsequent editing of the inserted elements.

For better interpretation of the drawing, you can create a legend that automatically contains all the symbols used in the drawing with their labels.

You can use the section and view labels to adjust section and view labels that have already been placed or to draw section lines in the model.
