Label Components

Get basic information on how to label components and other drawing elements in 2D and 3D planning types.

In addition to labeling with calculation data from the Analyse modules, you have further options for labeling components or other drawing elements such as slots or openings in the 2D and 3D planning types.

You can use the labels provided by the program to write design data such as dimensions, weight, distances etc. to drawing elements. The data stored on the elements is accessed directly. In the different disciplines, different predefined labels are available for this purpose, which you can adapt as needed. The placed labels are LINDBLABEL elements in which the variables are defined in single or multi-line text elements. In some of the labels, attribute definitions are also used.

You can also create labels in which you can use all the data stored on the drawing element. This allows you to label components and other drawing elements with parameters you have added yourself, such as maintenance intervals. Use the component list dialog so that the program automatically offers you all the parameters of the elements available in the drawing for your label. Alternatively, you can create your own labels in the labeling area or adapt existing labels to your needs. If necessary, use the LINEAR properties to access all parameters saved on the drawing elements and use them for labeling. When using reference lines for the labels, you can use different elements to which the reference lines dock when placing the labels.

Furthermore, you can assign item numbers in the 3D planning types as well as identify missing item numbers.

Irrespective of the planning type, you can define whether label types are located on different layers or whether the labels should have reference lines. If you have made changes to data on components that have already been labeled, you need to update the labels in order to apply the changes.
