Details on Dwelling and Decentralized Fresh Water Stations

Information about the dialog for Dwelling and decentralized fresh water stations in pipe network calculation for heating.

Specify global settings for all dwelling and fresh water stations in your project.

Note:

Simultaneities that you assigned to individual section parts using the function Edit section part in the calculation dialog, always rank higher in priority.

Approach of simultaneity

All simultaneity approaches refer to apartment construction. The selected simultaneity approach is applied to the heating flow rates for potable water heating. Simultaneity of heating flow rates is not affected by this and initially is 100 %. Simultaneity decreases with increasing number of apartments.

Select Simultaneity 100% to set the simultaneity to 100 %.

Select User-defined to create a user-defined curve in the section User-defined.

Approach of simultaneity

Displays the formula used for the selected approach of simultaneity.

Simultaneity curve

The curve for the selected approach of simultaneity is shown in red. For comparison purposes, the curves of the other approaches are also shown.

The number of apartments in the diagram regulate the display of the simultaneity curve.

Simultaneity

Element

Description

Round to next higher number of devices

Activated: In calculation, the number of dwelling- and fresh water stations is rounded to whole numbers.

Deactivated: The number of devices is not rounded during calculation. This makes for smaller pipe dimensions.

PW simultaneity generator – buffer storage

This value describes the relation between discharge- and charge time of the buffer storage. It impacts pipe dimensions between generator and buffer storage, as well as the recharge time o the buffer storage. Please watch the notes in the report after calculation. The preset value of 16.7 % has possibly to be corrected upwards to ensure that the buffer storage is charged for cases of hot water discharge as well.

User-defined simultaneity:

If you selected User-defined for the simultaneity approach, enter the name of the method here.

This field is deactivated for other simultaneity approaches.

a, b, c

If you selected User-defined as your simultaneity approach, you may enter the factors a, b, and c to be used for the simultaneity approach formula. The user-defined curve for the simultaneity approach in the diagram is shown in red.

This fields are deactivated for other simultaneity approaches.

Potable water heating Dwelling station

With Priority operation heating of potable water tis given priority. As soon as hot water is discharged, the heat exchanger from the supply water is flooded to heat potable water. The heating circuit is turned off during potable water heating.

During Parallel operation potable water heating and heating can be operated simultaneously. This leads to larger flow rates in the primary network (feed pipes leading to dwelling stations).

Multisupplier dimensioning

Settings made via Global presettings are only effective for neutral dwelling stations from the library. When using a dwelling station form a certain manufacturer or from the Configurator, these settings do not apply.
