Installing a Component in AutoCAD

Shows step-by-step how to insert a component from LINEAR CAD Browser in AutoCAD.

Before you begin

You have found the desired component and possibly configured it. Now you would like to place the component in your drawing.

Requirement:

You opened your project in AutoCAD with the desired view.

Navigate to:

Navigation area ➤ Product Browser ➤ Manufacturer ➤ Component

Procedure

Optional: Click to place the desired component in AutoCAD.
Click Insert....

AutoCAD is activated and a pickbox for selecting a pipe is displayed.
Select the desired pipe and click to insert the component at the desired location.

Before inserting, you can rotate the component by right-clicking it, if necessary.

LINEAR CAD Browser is activated again.

Results

The component is installed at the desired position and is taken into account in the calculation.
