Even more BIM for AutoCAD with the new Parameter Manager

LINEAR Solutions V24.1

The possibility of realising BIM requirements with AutoCAD is raised to a significantly higher level with the innovative LINEAR Parameter Manager. This new function allows you to organise information in drawings and models not only conveniently, but also extremely efficiently. Create parameters and parameter sets exactly according to your requirements. By defining different information levels, you can customise the level of detail and assign a variable number of parameters in each case. Regardless of whether you adhere to national planning phases or prefer your own designations - you retain control over the right information at the right time.

By defining value ranges or answer options, the in-built consistency checks help to increase the quality of the data. If predefined conditions are not met, the relevant parameters are highlighted in colour so that you can make corrections quickly and easily. This allows you to effectively avoid errors and inconsistencies in your projects. A further step towards parameterised working with AutoCAD and managing all information on the model.

Full control over all parameters in the exchange between Building and Revit

LINEAR Solutions V24.1

Use the extended synchronization options between Building and Revit to manage your project data seamlessly and efficiently. This new feature significantly allows a detailed configuration of parameter transfer. With the new configuration dialogue, you can individually define which parameters should be imported, exported or both imported and exported.

Furthermore it is possible to create different configurations for different project requirements or project progress, save them, pass them on as an office standard and use them at any time. This gives you all the options you need to ensure the consistency and accuracy of data in the interaction between Building and Revit. Whether you want to update complex building information or share detailed technical data, the enhanced synchronisation feature will help you make your design and construction processes seamless.

Create your own data sets for valves and include them in your calculations

LINEAR Solutions V24.1

You can now create your own data records for planning heating/cooling and DHW systems using the new "Creation of data sets" " function.

This allows you to individually create valves for which no standardized VDI data set is available and include them in your calculations. Simply select the desired valve type and enter the technical data directly from the manufacturer. Thanks to this function, you can specify single valves as well as entire valve series based on the required nominal diameters in your project. In the valve dialog, your user-defined data sets are then provided alongside the standardized VDI data for local or global assignment. This ability to integrate specific valves increases the accuracy of your system calculations and enables even more precise customization to the requirements of your project. The valve data sets you create yourself are automatically saved in your user standards folder and can be reused and shared with colleagues at any time.

Automatic connection of sanitary objects with bendable pipes

Automatically connect flexible pipe - LINEAR solutions for Revit

LINEAR Solutions V24.1

You can now also automatically connect sanitary objects in the potable water sector with bendable pipes. This function makes it much easier to model pre-wall piping with bendable pipes. All you need is a pipe class that supports bends without any angle restrictions. With just a few clicks, you can connect sanitary objects flexibly and without the limitations of rigid elbow fittings. The result is a model that not only functionally meets your requirements, but also comes much closer to the real installation on the construction site.

Model-based quantity takeoff now also for heating and cooling systems

LINEAR Solutions V24.1

We have already released the model-based quantity takeoff for ventilation systems in version 23.2 and it is very popular with many of our customers. We are now expanding this function to include heating and cooling systems. With this extension, you can now determine the dimensions of heating and cooling systems directly from your model in accordance with DIN 18380 and DIN 18421. Benefit from the parameter-controlled model evaluation and the clear component link to service items to ensure a seamless transfer from system dimensioning and construction design through to preparation for the tendering. Thanks to our export interface, which supports the current GAEB-XML format, the results can be easily integrated into your AVA software.

Extended filter options in the e-klimaX parts list

e-klimaX-Filter - LINEAR for Revit

LINEAR Solutions V24.1

Increase your efficiency in large ventilation projects with the new filter function in the e-klimaX parts list! Especially in extensive construction projects, where the list of duct fittings can grow quickly, it is essential to always maintain an overview. With our latest addition, directly inspired by feedback from our LINEAR Idea Channel, we now offer you a powerful solution to achieve just that. The filter function allows you to filter out the components that are relevant to your current inspection or machining with just a few clicks. Thanks to the integration of "Regular Expression", the search can even be refined to specific information within the item numbers. This allows you to maintain an overview, save time and concentrate on the essentials.

Harmonization and expansion of the creation and assignment of individual duct components

LINEAR Solutions V24.1

Improve your design processes in the air duct network calculation with the enhanced "Creation of data sets" function, now standardized for heating, cooling and potable water installations as well as ventilation systems. Find all component-related settings clearly arranged in the Control Board under the "Material data" group dialog. While new pressure loss curves can be created via the " Creation of data sets", the individually created data sets are assigned to the model via the new "Duct components" dialog. This update creates a consistent treatment of user-defined components across the various water-bearing or ventilation systems calculations.
