Installing Updates and Manufacturer Datasets using the Command Prompt

Shows step-by-step how to install updates and manufacturer datasets using the command prompt.

Open the Microsoft Windows Command Prompt.
Navigate to the directory in which the linInstaller.exe file is located.
Execute the linInstaller.exe file and also enter the path of the .linupdater file to be installed in quotation marks, e.g. ...\linInstaller.exe "C:\Downloads\LINEAR\Updates\LINEAR Solutions XX\LINEAR Solutions XX.linupdater".

Add the parameter /silent to perform an unattended installation (silent installation).

The LINEAR Installation Center opens and a message appears regarding the upcoming installation.
Confirm the message.

The installation is carried out.

The update or the manufacturer data set has been installed.
