Carry out Dialux export

Shows step-by-step how to export room data for use in the DIALux lighting design software.

Before you begin

You want to export room data from your drawing in order to use it in the DIALux lighting design software.

Requirement:

You have automatically detected the building so that the room data is available for export (Discipline Architecture3D - IFC link Workflow/3D - IFC import Workflow/3D - Model planning/2.5D - Model planningAnalyse tabBuilding detection).

Navigate to:

Discipline ArchitectureTab “Labeling and output”Command group Export

Procedure

  1. Click on Dialux Export ....

    The Select Rooms dialog opens.

  2. Select the rooms whose Data you would like to export and confirm the selection with OK.
    The Save as dialog opens.
  3. Enter the desired file name and click on Save.
    The room data to be exported is saved as a DIALux file (*STF).

Results

You have exported the room data of your drawing to a DIALux-compatible file format.

What to do next

You can open the file in the DIALux program and use the room data.
Note: If you want to import luminaires inserted in DIALux back into the CAD drawing later, you must save the file again as a DIALux file (*STF).
