Drawing in a Dwelling Station

Shows step-by-step how to configure a heat interface unit and how to insert it into the drawing.

Before you begin

You want to configure and draw a heat interface unit.

Requirements:

You have a manufacturer data set for a heat interface unit.

Navigate to:

Project tab DisciplinePlanning typeCreate tabCommand group Symbols / Components // ComponentsDwelling station ...

In the Heat Interface Unit configurator you select the manufacturer and model and enter the requirements for potable water heating and heating. These data are used for pipe network calculations. Then insert the heat interface unit into the model.

Procedure

  1. Click the button Heat Interface Unit.

    The Assistant Fresh water stations and Heat Interface Units dialog opens.

  2. Select the manufacturer, the product group and the product.

    If you have selected a model including water meter and calorimeter, the Calorimeter and Water meter sections are displayed.

  3. If necessary, enter the nominal volume flow rates and the pressure losses of the meters.
  4. Click Potable Water ....

    The Requirement Potable water dialog opens.

  5. Enter the requirements for potable water heating and close the dialog by OK.
  6. If you have selected a model including floor heating, click Floor Heating....

    The Requirement Floor Heating dialog opens.

  7. Enter the requirements for floor heating and close the dialog by OK.

    If the requirements for potable water and heating match the selected model, the dimensioning data are displayed below the product illustration and the Draw < button is activated.

  8. Click Draw <.
  9. Place the heat interface unit in the model.
    Tip:

    Use the Space bar to rotate the component in 90° steps.

Results

The heat interface unit has been configured and inserted in the model.
