Creating New Component

Shows step by step how to create new components.

Before you begin

You would like to create a user-defined component to be able to use it in your project.

Navigate to:

Module Overview ➤ Module ➤ Master Table (Navigation Area) ➤ Components, U-Value Calculation

Procedure

Open the component group in which you would like to create the new component by clicking .
Click + New.

The Which type of component?dialog opens.
Select the component type, enter the Name for the new component and click OK.

The new component is created and the edit view for the component is opened.
Activate the Use Predefined Values option and enter the U-Value for the component.
If the component is a composed component with facade fasteners, enter the desired correction value in the U-Value Supplement field.
Note: The use of the U-Value Correction is supported by the following heating load calculation methods:
- DIN/TS EN 12831-1 (2020)
- NBN 12831-1 ANB (2020)
- DS 418 (2020)
- EN 12831-1 (2017)

Results

The new component is created and can be used in the rooms of your project.
