About the LINEAR Properties Dialog

Explains the concept of the LINEAR Properties dialog in AutoCAD.

The LINEAR Properties dialog allows for easy review and adjustment of input data for all components in the network.

Depending on the current filter settings, the properties dialog shows the component parameters of all elements currently selected in the drawing as well as their values. Parameters that are solely used for output are displayed in light gray color. The values of these parameters can be changed without affecting the calculation or geometry. These parameters are used, for example, for labeling or data export. Parameters whose changes influence the calculation and the geometry are displayed in standard color.

In a calculated network, calculation-relevant parameters such as volume flow, section number or flushing relevance are also displayed to match the selection and can be adjusted if necessary.

You can use the first drop-down list above the table to specify whether all properties and therefore all parameters of the selected components or only parameters of a specific information level are displayed. Parameters can be assigned to the individual information levels in the Parameter Manager.

If several parts are selected, only the common parameters are displayed, provided that the entry All Component classes has been selected in the second drop-down list above the table. If the values of common parameters are different, the field contains the entry *varying*.

When selecting several different components, it is possible to select a specific component in the drawing by selecting a component class from the second drop-down list at the top of the properties dialog. The selection filter remains activated for the window selection in the drawing until the entry All Component Classes is selected again. That way, specific component data can be assigned to components, e.g. the room-by-room definition of volume flow rates for air diffusers.

The input data of all relevant components can be easily monitored with this dialog and, if necessary, quickly adjusted for entire component groups. By deleting manually adjusted values, the original value can be restored.
