Draw Section Lines
Shows step-by-step how to insert section lines into a drawing.
Before you begin
You want to draw a labeled section line in your drawing.
Navigate to
Procedure
- Set the desired Text Height.
- Select the section arrow to be used from the list of section arrows.
- Specify the line style and line weight in the Section Line area using the drop-down lists.
- Use the color field to specify the color of the section line.
- Specify whether the section line is only indicated.
- Define the projection of the section line at the start and end point.
- Click on Section/View Labeling.
- Define the support points of the section line in your drawing.

- Confirm your entry by right-clicking or pressing Enter. The command line prompts you to specify the depth of the section view.
- Use the mouse to set the depth of the section view to determine the orientation of the labeling at the start and end point of the section line and confirm this by right-clicking.
The Section View Labels dialog opens. - Enter the name with which the start and end points are labeled and confirm your entry. The section line is inserted into the drawing.

Results
You have drawn a labeled section line in the model area of your drawing.
