About Work Views
Explains the concept of working sections and the 3D selection box.
Create temporary working sections and 3D section areas to view spatial situations in the project more accurately and/or to be able to design them better. You can use the horizontal and vertical working section, the working section in front of a wall and the 3D selection frame for this purpose.
The horizontal and vertical work section, as well as the work section in front of a wall, are created in floor plans or ceiling or area plans. The 3D selection box can be created in floor plans, 3D, building and section views or ceiling or area plans. When creating a new working section, the current view of the same type (horizontal working section, vertical working section, working section in front of wall, 3D selection box) is overwritten. This avoids an accumulation of views in the project. If you want to use a working section permanently, you can save it by renaming it. For each working view, the scale, level of detail, visual style, etc., can be set separately in the LINEAR properties or via the Revit view control functions.
