Set Default Material

Before you begin

You want to specify which material is assigned to the pipes in the project by default during calculation.

Navigate to

Project-Tab ➤ Discipline District Networks ➤ Analyse tab ➤ Command group Analyse ➤ Material Data ➤ Pipes and Connection Sets ...

Dialog "Pipes and Connection Sets" of the Discipline District Networks in the LINEAR Solutions for Autodesk AutoCAD

Procedure

In the first row of the Default Material Combination entry, specify the pipe material for the primary system by clicking on in the Lines/Pipes column .
The Pipe Tables dialog opens.
Select the desired Manufacturer, the desired System and, if applicable, the desired versions of the system in the table above.
Close certain nominal diameters of the system for sizing by unchecking the corresponding entries in the Active column in the table below.
Close the dialog with OK.
In the same way, specify the desired pipe material for the secondary system in the second row of the entry Default Material Combination.
For the primary system, in the Max. DN column, specify the nominal diameter up to which the primary system is used.
In the Preferred Insulation Level column, specify the desired insulation level for the primary and secondary systems.
Close the dialog with OK.

Results

The material combination is automatically assigned to the pipes of the project during calculation of the pipe network. Material combinations assigned manually are not overwritten.
