Detail on “Edit Scheme"

Information about the Edit Scheme dialog of the Scheme Editor function.

In this dialog, you can edit schemes with different functions without losing the component connections. Editing is possible both when deriving a scheme before creating the drafting view and with already created schemes. The processing of transferred schemes from LINEAR Building is also supported.

Editing Functions

Selection

Enables the function for selecting elements in the scheme. You can select items either using the selection window or by clicking while holding down the Ctrl key to add additional items.

Move Components / Edit Connections

Enables the function for moving components. You can select individual components by clicking on them or select multiple components by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking. All components, bends, and T-pieces can be selected. After selecting, hold down the mouse button to move the component or components freely. The connected pipes and the components installed in them are automatically adjusted. The space in which the components can be moved is limited by the bends, T-pieces, and/or components surrounding the components in the pipe. Hold down the Shift key while moving to move only horizontally. Hold down the Ctrl key to move only vertically. You can remove pipes by right-clicking.

Tip: To select components using the selection frame, you can use the Selection function before activating the function for moving components, or start the selection frame outside the frame around the scheme.

Move the Bend/T-piece

Activates the function for moving bends or T-pieces. After activation, all bends and T-pieces that can be used for the function are highlighted in color. First, click to select the element you want to move. Then, hold down the Ctrl key and select the element to be moved. If the move is blocked by other components of the scheme, you will receive a corresponding message in the lower right corner of the dialog.

Alignment

Enables the function for aligning elements to reference lines. After activation, all elements of the scheme are framed with colored horizontal and vertical lines. For schemes based on a model, the frame of the scheme and the upper edge of the unfinished floor are also marked with colored lines. First, click to define a line as a reference line, which will then be used for alignment. The selection is then displayed in color. Now you can align elements to the reference line by clicking on one of the surrounding lines in the same orientation (horizontal/vertical). The selected line is then aligned with the reference line, provided that it is not blocked by other elements. If there is a blockage, it is moved as far as possible in the direction of the reference line. To select a new reference line, click in a free area. The reference line is then no longer selected and you can set a new reference line.

Select Component in the Scheme Editor and Display in Revit

After selecting a component in the Edit Schema dialog, displays this component in the currently open view in Revit. This function does not support the display of pipes.

Select Component in Revit and Display Scheme Editor the Revit

Displays this component in the Edit Scheme dialog after selecting a component in Revit. This function does not support the display of pipes.

Pipe Run Flip

Activates the function for transferring components or entire pipe run structures to the opposite side of selected vertical pipe runs. After activation, all components to be transferred must first be selected. You can do this by selecting the selection box and/or clicking while holding down the Ctrl key to add further elements. Then, one of the two vertical pipes must be selected to transfer to the opposite side. The transfer is then started by selecting the second pipe to which the transfer is to be made. The position of these two pipes remains unchanged during transfer. The vertical pipe that is further away from the selected components is used as the mirror axis during transfer. When transferring from left to right, this is the left pipe, and when transferring from right to left, it is the right pipe.

Undo, Redo

Reverts the last performed action or restores actions that have been reverted.

Cancel

Closes the dialog and discards any changes made.

Apply

Transfers the changes made to the drafting view of the scheme in Revit or creates the drafting view of the scheme with the current configuration when creating a scheme with the option Open Scheme Editor before Creating enabled.

View Functions

Center View

Centers and zooms in on the scheme view so that it is displayed completely in the scheme editor.

Lock, Unlock

Locks the scheme for editing pipes and components or unlocks it. You can still move, zoom, and center locked views.
