Labeling

Explains the concept of labeling.

Labels make a plan easier to read and make it more directly informative. They can be placed in top views, sections and locked 3D views.

You can label section parts and components with preset or user-defined labels. The data for the labels are based on the calculation results, therefore it is necessary to detect and calculate the network before labeling a section part or a component.

Sections can be labeled automatically or manually. With manual labeling, individual pipes and ducts consisting of more than one pipe or duct can also be labeled separately. Components are to be labeled manually only. When labeling, additional customization labeling options are available. Previously created labels can be edited later with several commands. You can also update or remove all labels for the active view.

Note:

In ventilation constructions, air ducts with duct installation grilles or air duct sockets are divided into several section parts for the calculation. Since a component can be labeled on the Revit side with only one data set, for air ducts with several outlets, the section part with the largest volume flow rate is always labeled. A corresponding message is displayed before the labeling.
