General Information

The room data that are decisive for the domestic ventilation are displayed in this dialog. They are taken from the general room data. As soon as a ventilation concept has been selected, the ventilation components are displayed.

Number

Specifies the number of the room.

Name

Specifies the name of the room.

: Opens the dialog where you define the general room data.

Geometry, Room Type acc. to DIN 1946-6

Specifies the room type and the room data relevant for domestic ventilation. If you select a room type in the general room data, the program automatically defines this room as a supply air, extract air or overflow air room according to DIN 1946-6. However, you can change the room type according to DIN 1946-6 here without the program adjusting this room type in the general room data.

Room Selection

Specifies the room type. Clicking allows you to select a different room type.

Length, Width, Area, Volume

Specifies the length and width as well as the calculated area and volume of the room. Clicking calculates the area or volume again.

Room with External Window

Indicates whether there is an exterior window in a room. By default the program assigns an exterior window to all rooms. Deactivate the option if there is no exterior window in a room. Rooms without windows have higher minimum volume flow rates and design volume flow rates. If the building has been transferred from CAD, or the room components of the room have been entered manually, the program automatically activates or deactivates the setting Room with Exterior Window, depending on whether an exterior window is included in the room components or not.

Room with Room Air Dependent Heating System

Indicates whether a room air-dependent fireplace is present in a room. Room air dependent heating systems are for example gas boilers, boilers with atmospheric combustion, coal, wood or oil ovens, which take the necessary combustion air from the installation room. In case of mechanical or fan-assisted ventilation, a room-air-dependent fireplace affects the infiltration calculation and the outside component air outlet are designed with a pressure difference of 4 Pa so as not to affect the operation of the combustion system. Without a room air dependent heating system, the exterior component air outlets are designed at a maximum of 8 Pa in order to avoid flow noise or the effect of unacceptably high forces on the doors. By default, the setting Room with room air dependent heating system is deactivated.

Room for Drying Clothes

Indicates whether a room is used for drying laundry. Extract air rooms in which laundry is dried are designed with an extract air volume flow rate of 40 m³/h.

Ventilation Components (Informative)

Specifies the ventilation components of the room. Unventilated rooms and overflow air rooms do not have ventilation components.

View Room Components (Only Informative)

Opens a table with detailed component data instead of a graphic of the selected room. The table only contains component data if this data is already available from the heat or cooling load. You can only modify the component data in the Heat Load or Cooling Load modules.
