Assigning Item Numbers with Sub-Numbers

Shows step by step how you can assign item numbers with alphabetically incrementing letters to components.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. In the Parameter / Mode / Increment section, chose the selection Item number (circuit A), Sequential index (network) and enter the value 1 for the increment.
  2. As item format, select Sub-numbers (alphabetical).
  3. Add a prefix and/or postfix if necessary.
  4. In Position enter the main number for which the sub-numbers are to be used.
  5. Configure any other settings as necessary.
  6. Click Position numbers <.
  7. In the network, mark the area with the components that you want to assign the item numbers to, and press the enter key.
  8. Select the component that is to act as the starting point, and press the enter key.

    Item numbers and letters are added to the marked components.
