Setting up Views in Your Own Templates or in Existing Projects

Shows step-by-step how to set up views in a project or template that were not created with the LINEAR Solutions to subsequently use the LINEAR View Control.

Before you begin

You want to set up views of a template that was not created with LINEAR Solutions or a project that was not created with LINEAR Solutions so that you can then use the LINEAR view control.

Requirement:

The template or the project that contains unassigned views is open.

Navigate to

Project tab

Procedure

  1. Click on at the bottom of the Project tab and select the desired view type from the drop-down list that appears, e.g. Floor plans.

    All views of the selected type are displayed on the bottom panel. Unassigned views are marked with the symbol .

  2. Select the view you want to set up.

  3. Select the building part that is included in this view and also check the checkbox for this building part.
  4. If it is a section view or a 3D view, use the storey buttons to display the storeys that should be included in the view.
  5. Select the storey that the view should include.
  6. Activate the check boxes of the disciplines to be displayed in the view.
  7. Select the discipline whose content and features should be available to you on the Design, Library, and Analysis tabs.

Results

In the area of appropriate views, the selected view is marked with the symbol Matching, and you can now use the LINEAR view control.

Repeat the process if necessary for all other unassigned views.
