Making General Settings

Shows step by step how to set general settings for calculating heating and cooling pipe networks.

Before you begin

You want to make sure that all parameters are set correctly before the calculation.

Note: This task serves as a support for setting basic parameters for the calculation. Deviating from or in addition to the steps listed, further settings may be required to obtain the desired result.

Procedure

  1. In the Component Detection area, decide whether Modeled Dimensions should be transferred during detection, not transferred, or only transferred for a selection.
  2. Enable the option Dimension pipes decreasing if sections are to be dimensioned with decreasing dimensions in direction of the consumer.
  3. Deactivate the option Detect Material with every Calculation if, for example, you have a large project and want to reduce the calculation time.
  4. Check and correct the entered limit and tolerance values if necessary.

Results

The basic settings for the calculation have been made and are now taken into account during the calculation.
