Details on “Select Layer <...>"

Information about the dialog Select Layer<.> in the Settings of the Pipe and Duct Network Calculation.

In this dialog, you specify the layers on which the system searches for components of the respective category during detection. The category is selected using the corresponding button in the Layer section.

Tip: If the pipe or sewer network has been drawn with LINEAR Solutions, the layer are already set correctly.

“Select Layer” dialog in the calculation settings of the LINEAR Solutions for Autodesk AutoCAD

Select Layer <Automatic>, Select Layer <Manual>

The layers are usually selected automatically for respective components, symbols or texts. The title row of the dialog will in this case read Select layer <Automatically>. If you select system types yourself, the entry changes to Select system(s) <Manually>.

Selection

Specifies which layers are used for detecting the components of the respective category selected using the corresponding button in the Layers section of the Settings. Either select the layers on which the respective components are located manually by clicking on the corresponding entries, or perform an automatic selection.

Automatic Selection

: Selects the appropriate layers from the list of layers according to the settings in the Media Table dialog. You can then adjust the selection manually.
