General Settings

Explains the concept for general settings regarding the pipe network calculation for potable water.

Before you start calculating the pipe network after the design, you should make the settings relevant to the calculation in order to achieve realistic results as quickly as possible.

Check the settings for the layers to be included in the detection and decide whether the entire network or only parts of it should be included in the calculation. Select the desired calculation method and check the limit values for velocities in different sections of the pipe network. Set the correct building type and decide whether and how to calculate the discharge time.

The parameters in the settings are usually preset with appropriate values, which you can adjust to the requirements of your project if necessary.
