Outputting manufacturer components as neutral components in the parts list
Shows step-by-step how to output manufacturer-neutral parts lists.
Before you begin
You have manufacturer components in your project but you want to output a parts list without manufacturer names and item numbers.
Navigate to
Applies to heating, potable water, waste water, ventilation, cooling, Roof Drainage.
Procedure
- Click Settings….
The dialog Settings for the corresponding discipline opens.
- Activate the option Output Manufacturer-neutral Material.
- In the discipline Potable Water, the option is located on the Calculation Parameters tab.
- In the disciplines Waste water and Roof Drainage, the option is located on the General tab.
- In the discipline Ventilation, the option is located under Calculation Settings.
- Close the Settings by clicking OK.
- Perform a calculation again and confirm the calculation by clicking OK.
- Click Output…. The Output dialog opens.
- Select the print item Parts list under Material and set additional output options if needed.
- Click
- Print to start the printout.
- Preview to display the parts list in a preview window.
Results
Manufacturer components are listed under neutral components in the parts list, and manufacturer names and items numbers are not visible.
Note: If manufacturer-specific information like model names are included in the short texts of the Ventilation discipline, you can adjust the short texts in the Technical Data dialog or in the LINEAR Properties of the corresponding components.
