Updating Mounting Elements for HVAC Components

Shows step by step how to update mounting elements for pipes, ducts, or HVAC components that have already been designed when their position has been changed, e.g. in a linked model file.

Before you begin

The position of HVAC components, pipes, or ducts has changed, and you want to update the mounting elements to correct their position.

Requirements

If the components are located in a linked model file, this file must be available as a link.

Navigate to

Project Tab ➤ Discipline Construction Design ➤ Construction Tab ➤ Area Mounting

Procedure

Optional: Select the HVAC Components in Link checkbox if the modified components are located in a linked model file.
Click Update Mounting Elements <.
Select the fasteners individually by clicking on them or using a selection frame.
Confirm the selection with Enter.

Results

The position of the fastening element is tracked and adjusted to the new position of the pipes, ducts, or HVAC component.
