Editing a Pipe/Duct/Trench Section

Shows step-by-step how to set calculation-relevant data for individual pipe/duct sections or trench sections (Discipline District Networks).

Before you begin

You have calculated a network and want to modify or add data for selected pipe/duct/trench sections.

Prerequisite

The pipe network has been designed and calculated.

Note: Values entered locally have priority over settings and boundary conditions.

Procedure

  1. Select the desired pipe/duct section or trench section in the Pipe/Duct Sections/Trench Sections area.
  2. Click on Edit….

The Edit pipe section dialog opens.

  3. Enter individual values in the Length and Height difference fields that deviate from the entered dimensions, for example to compensate for design tolerances.
  4. If necessary, enter additional bends, pressure loss and a deviating ambient temperature.
  5. If required, adjust the local maximum values for R-value, Velocity and Simultaneity.
  6. Confirm the changes by clicking OK.

Results

The adjusted data has been assigned to the selected pipe/duct section or trench section and is used in the calculation.
