Details on Component Data for Energy Hubs
Information about the component data dialog for energy hubs in the Rohrnetzberechnung Quartiersnetze.
In this dialog, you define the settings for the component data for energy hubs in the Rohrnetzberechnung Quartiersnetze on the first tab. On the second tab, you define the prioritization for the component's article sets.
You are here

Name
In this field you can enter an individual name for the component. Clicking on
restores the original name and overwrites the previous entry.
Settings tab
System Name
If there are multiple systems in a drawing, enter a name for better differentiation. This name will be displayed in the calculation dialog when selecting a system. When printing, the systems will be available for selection. The data will be automatically transferred to the remaining suppliers for heating or cooling.
Flow Temperature, Design Return Temperature
In the energy hub, specify the supply- and return temperature for the entire heat network. If multiple hubs are concerned, the data will be automatically transferred to the remaining energy hub. Changing temperatures is only possible after having detected the heat network.
Share of Energy Hub
Changing temperatures is only possible if multiple energy hubs are used. If only one energy hub is used, the value is automatically set to 100 % and is not editable.
For systems with multiple energy hubs, enter here the portion of the mass flow rates which is supposed to be covered by the individual hub. At first, the default value of the portion is 100 %. You may split the portion of the mass flow rates so that the sum of all energy hubs is 100 %. Likewise, redundant energy hubs with a portion of 100 % each are possible. Moreover, mixed forms are possible: Some of the energy hubs add up to 100%, plus one or more redundant hubs, each contributing 100%. The sum of the mass flow rates of all energy hubs ought to be 100% or a multiple thereof, else, a notification will be displayed in the Reports.
Zeta, Pressure Loss
Enter either a fixed zeta value or a fixed, absolute pressure loss in Pa.
Water Volume
Enter the water volume of the the component here. For energy hubs, the value is used to calculate the system volume.
contains pump, calculate
Enabled: In the calculation, the presence of a pump is simulated for the heat network. You can determine the capacity of the pump by activating the calculate checkbox during the calculation, or you can set the pump pressure manually. Manually entered values are displayed in bold. Clicking
resets manually entered values to value determined in the calculation.
Disabled: In the calculation, no pump is simulated for the pipe network and the installation of a separate pump is required. If no pump is installed, during calculation an error message appears in the Reports and the network cannot be calculated.
Fluid
Opens the dialog Fluid which allows for editing of the fluid currently used by the system. Usually, the globally defined fluid that you specify in the dialog Fluid of the Settings is used.
Material tab

On the second tab, you define the local prioritization for the component's article sets. Any global settings defined in the corresponding Priorities (…) dialogs for building connections in the Connection Sets column of the Pipes and Connection Sets dialog may be overridden for this component.
Connection Type: Determines how the trenches are routed into the building and thus controls the options available under Option 1.
Option 1, Option 2, Option 3: Drop-down lists for defining the connection sets offered in the table. By selecting from the lists, you determine which entries are available in the subordinate list.
Additional Connection: Defines the length of the energy hub's additional connections that are taken into account in the bill of materials.
Connection Sets: Table for prioritizing individual sets of items. Select a row, then use the
and
buttons to adjust the order for prioritizing the item sets.
Reset: Resets the order to the one specified in the corresponding Priorities (…) dialog for building connections, which is defined via the Pipes and Connection Sets dialog.
