Medium

Explains the concept Medium in Pipe and Duct Network Calculations for heating, cooling and ventilation.

In pipe network calculation for heating and cooling, the default setting for medium is water, for duct network calculation, the default medium is air. The material values are used for calculating pipe friction pressure loss.

You can adjust the material values of the media as needed and create your own media. The material values of new media are stored as external media files.

If you load an external medium file and use its material values for calculation, these data are also saved in the project to make them available at other work stations.
