Details on “Structure Configurations”
Information on the Structure Configurations dialog.
In this dialog, you can create, edit, and delete structure configurations.
Structure configurations control how the project structure is displayed in the Building area. In contrast to the classic rendering of the building structure in LINEAR Building, this allows for a flexible and individually configurable rendering of the project structure. Furthermore, the display of rooms and their parameters in the room data sheet views of the Room Data Sheet module is also controlled by the structure configurations.
You are here

Available configurations
Lists all available structure configurations and allows you to select one. When you select a configuration, the table displays the defined outline levels of the structure configuration, which you can customize and expand as needed.
Add Configuration
Opens the Structure Definition dialog box for entering the name of the new configuration. After clicking OK, the new configuration with the name you entered is added to the list of available configurations and selected for defining the outline levels. The configuration is only saved after you close the dialog box with OK.
Delete Configuration
Deletes the currently selected structure configuration.
Table of Outline Levels
In the table, you define the outline levels for the currently selected configuration. The outline levels define the individual structural elements (structural levels) to which the corresponding rooms are subordinate in the structure trees in the Building area and in the room data sheet views of the Room Data Sheet module. Each structure configuration must contain at least one outline level.
Up to three parameters can be selected for a structure level. For example, if you select the storey number as Parameter 1 and as Parameter 2 for a structure level, the rooms under the structure level are grouped together if both parameters have the same value.
By filling in another row, a new structure level is created that is subordinate to the first one in the structure. For example, if you select the building section as Parameter 1 in the first row and the room type as Parameter 1 in the second row, the structure in the tree is first broken down by building section and then by room type on the second level.
Any number of structure levels can be created. Up to three parameters can be used to define a structure level. The names of the structure elements result from the individual parameter names and, if applicable, specified prefixes and separators between the parameter names. Individual lines can be deleted after selection by pressing F6.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Prefix | Sets the optional prefix for the structural elements that are generated by the definition of the individual outline levels and are displayed in the structure tree of the Building area and the room data sheet views of the Room Data Sheet module with their associated rooms. |
| Parameter 1, Parameter 2, Parameter 3 | Define the parameters for the definition of the outline levels and thus the structural elements.
|
| Separator | Allows you to enter separators that appear between the individual parameter names in the names of the individual structural elements. |
