Details on the Context Menu for Drawing Air Ducts
Information on the context menu for drawing 3D air ducts.
You are here:

Entry context menu | Function |
---|---|
End | Ends the command Draw duct. If you select End in the context menu and have only selected the starting point, the drawing command is canceled. |
Cover | If you select Cover in the context menu, a cover is drawn at the end of the duct and the Draw duct command is terminated. If you want to continue drawing with a channel at the cover, the cover is automatically removed. |
Duct | With the option Duct in the context menu, another piece of duct is inserted instead of a bend, which automatically follows a straight duct. |
Flexible Duct | With the option flexible duct, you can draw the duct to be drawn as a flexible duct. You can also use this option to continue a normal air duct with a flexible duct when drawing. |
Change of direction | Opens the Change of direction dialog in which you can make settings for dimensions, material, insulation and connectors for the fitting used. Once you have made the necessary entries in the dialog, click OK to exit the dialog and draw the change of direction. 90° bend: Press the F8 function key to switch on orthogonal mode. Your cursor is fixed so that you can draw 90° bends. Bend angle with 15° sections: Switch off orthogonal mode with the F8 function key. You can then define a bend angle in 15° steps by holding down the Ctrl key. Further bend angles: Switch off orthogonal mode with the F8 function key. Specify the arc angle freely by pointing with your cursor. Note: The fitting Change of direction only appears in the context menu if it is available in the required dimension in the currently selected material assortment and when continuing to draw on existing ducts. |
Swan neck | The Swan neck option in the context menu takes you to the dialog of the same name, in which you can configure the swan neck to be drawn in more detail. |
Transition | The Transition option in the context menu takes you to the dialog of the same name, in which you can configure the transition to be drawn in more detail. |

Offset | The option Offset provides you with three offset variants: Below, Above and At height of a component. This is particularly suitable for offsets around obstacles such as beams, other ducts or walls. If the Offset with storey dialog entry is enabled in the context menu under Options, the Storey dialog opens, in which you can configure the storey to be drawn in more detail. If the offset is not carried out via the Storeys dialog, you can use the crosshairs to define the length of the floor in your drawing. |
Turn | The Turn option provides you with three bend variants: In front, behind or on a component or on a wall. After selecting the respective options, select a component or a wall and the turning situation is automatically constructed with a bend. |
Height jump | The Height jump option is only displayed in the context menu if you are constructing vertically. Four construction aids are available to you: under ceiling, from storey table, manual height input and passage height. After the height jump, you can continue drawing with a bend. |
Back | Resets the last drawing step. The drawing command remains active. |
