Specifying General Settings for Siphonic Drainage (Roof Drainage)

Before you begin

You want to make sure that all parameters are set correctly before the calculation.

Note: This task serves as a support for setting basic parameters for the calculation. Deviating from or in addition to the steps listed, further settings may be required to obtain the desired result.

Navigate to

Project tabDiscipline: Roof Drainage/Waste WaterAnalyse TabSettings ...Siphonic Drainage

Applies to: Waste water (siphonic drainage).

Procedure

  1. Select the desired calculation method from the Method drop-down list.
  2. Check the values and limits in the left-hand area below the drop-down list and make any necessary adjustments to meet the requirements of your project.
  3. Activate the Zeta Values option if manufacturer material is assigned with measured values and the values are to be taken into account in the calculation.
  4. If possible, activate the option Dimension for Positive Residual Pressure if there are drains in the network that are located as far as possible in local low points (depressions).
  5. Close the dialog with a click on OK.

Results

The basic settings for the calculation have been defined and will be taken into account in the next calculation.
