Details on Reports (Command Group)

Information about the Reports command group on the Analyse tab of the Control Board.

You can use this command group to locate the origin of the reports in order to subsequently analyse and, if necessary, correct the cause.

Buttons in the Reports Command Group

Above the output window with the list of reports, there are some buttons for navigating and controlling the reports.

Button Description
Show

After selecting a report associated with a referenced object in the drawing and clicking Show, the location of the report cause is displayed in the center of the screen with an error marker.

Orbiter

By selecting a report associated with a referenced object in the drawing and clicking Orbiter, the 3D orbit is enabled. Instead of the crosshairs the symbol is displayed at the cursor: Now you can rotate the drawing to the correct position by holding down the left mouse button to better investigate the cause of the report.

Delete

Removes the selected report.

Accept After selecting a report and clicking on Accept, the message is marked with a green tick and remains in the Reports dialog so that it can still be viewed later.

List of Reports

The output window lists all reports specific to the current discipline. Reports can be messages about errors, warnings, or notes. Double-click a report to navigate to its cause.

Detailed Description

After clicking a report, a detailed explanation of its cause is displayed in the lower area of this command group. Suggestions for possible corrections and further information may also be displayed. If the error is caused by a particular component, the component number and, if applicable, the pipe section or flow path number are displayed.
