Building structure in LINEAR Building

Structure Configurations Area

Drop-Down List

Allows you to select the structure configuration according to which the structure tree of the Building area and the room data sheet views of the Room Data Sheet module are broken down.

Structure Configuration: Opens the Structure Configurations dialog, where you can create, edit, and delete structure configurations.

Update: Updates the structure tree, e.g., after changes to parameter values in the room data sheet views. Use this button, for example, if the structure configuration is set to By Room Type and the room types have been adjusted.

Symbols

The project level is the top level. It always exists and always corresponds exactly to a building.

Building part level (optional, can be activated or deactivated in ToolbarConfigurationProject SettingsBuilding StructureGroup Storeys into Building Parts)

Floor Level/Level

Apartment Level/Area Level (optional, can be enabled or disabled under Menu BarConfigurationProject SettingsBuilding StructureGroup Rooms into Apartments/Areas)

Room Level

Opens or closes a structure level in the tree view

Creates a new structural level (Building Part, Storey, Apartment or Room).

Structure level with deactivated calculation (symbol grayed out). Parameters such as transmission heat losses are taken into account in the calculation of adjacent elements.

Structural level contains components that produce errors during calculation.

Context Menu

Right-clicking a structural level opens the following context menu:

The selected structural level can be cut, copied or deleted. A previously copied structural element can be inserted at the structural level above it. For example, a copied room can be pasted at storey level on the same or another storey of the project.

Navigation

You can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate through the structural levels. Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate between levels. Use the left and right arrow keys or the x and - keys on the numpad to collapse and open the levels.
