Perform a Silent Installation of Individual LINEAR Solutions Programs

Shows step-by-step how to install individual LINEAR Solutions programs in the background.

Before you begin

You want to install individual programs of your LINEAR Solutions supplied in the background without having to intervene manually.

Requirement:

You have received your installation medium (USB stick or ZIP file) and have access to the medium.

Note: The LINEAR CADinside program cannot currently be installed via a silent installation.

Navigate to:

Desktop of the Computer

Procedure

Start the Windows command prompt with administrator rights.
In the command prompt, use the cd command to navigate to the folder associated with the installing program (e.g. ...\LINEAR Admin) in the root directory of the installation medium (USB stick or unpacked ZIP file).
Start the Setup.exe file in the command prompt with the start parameter /z "silent" and /L1031 for an installation with a German or /L1033 with an English interface (e.g. <Root>\LINEAR Admin>Setup.exe /z "silent" /L1031).

Results

The program is installed in the background with the corresponding interface language and only the copying process is displayed.
