About Silent Installation of LINEAR Solutions Programs

Explains the concept of the installation and uninstallation processes in the background (silent installation).

You can install all the supplied LINEAR Solutions programs at once as well as individual LINEAR Solutions programs in the background without having to intervene manually. Only the copying processes are displayed. You also have the option of specifying the interface language of the programs.

Note: The LINEAR CADinside program cannot currently be installed using the silent installation.

To carry out unattended and automatic installations and uninstallations in networks, you can create corresponding IIS response files so that no user input is required during the processes. You run through the desired installation or uninstallation scenario once, while it is recorded and stored in the IIS response file. The response files can then be used by an administrator for an unattended installation or de-installation, e.g. via the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
