Placing Mountings Individually
Shows step-by-step how to place mounting elements individually along pipes or ducts in a pipe or air duct network.
Before you begin
You want to place mounting elements in a pipe or duct network individually along pipes or ducts.
Requirement:
You have already drawn in pipes or air ducts.
Navigate to:
Procedure
- Open, if necessary, the section 3D Mounting.
- Select the Single mode.
- Click on the Button of the mounting type you want to use, e.g., on
Install Clamps
Note:If you are using the command for the first time within a drawing, the Material Suspension Mounts dialog opens first.
- Use the Manufacturer, Component Group and Component drop-down lists to select the required versions of the mounting element.
- Optional: Select a threaded rod from the Mounting Material and set the insertion depth of the rod into the building structure under Extension into Building Structure.
- Confirm with OK.
- Select the pipe or duct that is to be provided with the mounting element. A context menu for selecting the mounting option opens.
- Select a mounting option in the context menu, e.g. To wall.... Note: In this example, the option To wall is selected. If you select a different mounting option, follow the instructions in the command line.
- Select the wall to which the duct or pipe is to be attached. The mounting clamp appears on the duct or pipe and can be moved freely.
- Determine the position along the duct or pipe and place the clamp by clicking on the position.
Results
The mounting element was placed on the duct or pipe. The command remains active and you can place further mounting elements.
