Entering U-values of Components

Shows step-by-step how to enter the U-values of components your project.

Before you begin

You would like to enter the U-values of the components used in the project.

Navigate to:

Module Overview ➤ Module ➤ Master Table (Navigation Area) ➤ Components, U-Value Calculation

Procedure

  1. Expand the folder of the component category that contains the components to be edited.
    Note: Components from the building detection are displayed in separate folders and can also be edited.

  2. Select the component to be edited.

  3. Activate the Use Predefined Values option and enter the U-Value for the component.

  4. If the component is a composed component with facade fasteners, enter the desired correction supplement in the U-Value Correction field.
    Note: The use of the U-Value Correction is supported by the following heating load calculation methods:
    • DIN/TS EN 12831-1 (2020)
    • NBN 12831-1 ANB (2020)
    • DS 418 (2020)
    • EN 12831-1 (2017)
  5. Repeat these steps for all components whose U-values you would like to configure.

Results

The predefined U-values of the components in your project are set and taken into account in the calculation.
