Details on Settings (Project Level - Potable Water)
Information about the Settings tab (project level) of the scheme generator for the trade Potable Water.
In the Settings you can make general default settings for the scheme construction and the pipe network calculation. The settings apply to the whole project. The Settings are only visible when you are in the Building Structure at storey or project level.

Pipe Run Connection in the Intermediate Storeys
Collective Pipe Run Connection, Single Pipe Run Connection, Crossover T-Piece
Defines how the pipes are connected to the pipe run.

Material
Pipe Material ...: Opens the Pipe Tables dialog where you can specify the material for the entire pipe network.
Pipe Run Material...: Opens the Pipe Run Material dialog, where you can specify different pipe run material for the pipe run.
Basement Material...: Opens the Basement Material... dialog, where you can specify a different pipe material for the pipes in the basement.
Valves: Opens the Valves dialog where you can compile a valve preselection for the pipe network calculation.
Configuration...: Opens the Settings dialog, in which presettings for the pipe network calculation can be made.
Manufacturer Selection...: Opens the Manufacturer Selection dialog, in which you select a manufacturer to make its product data set available in the Pipe Tables dialog.
Connection of the Consumers
Connection looped in
Enabled: The cold and hot water pipes are connected looped in.
Type of Installation
Type of Installation
Drop-down list to select the type of installation.
When connecting the pipe to a symbol, a junction box is automatically drawn and provided with a suitable attribute depending on the type of installation (e.g. AP for surface-mounted and UP for flush-mounted). The selection of available installation types depends on the selected manufacturer (Manufacturer Selection dialog). Depending on the manufacturer and the type of installation, connection sets are compiled, whose materials are later included in the parts list of the pipe network calculation.
Circulation Valves
Pipe Run
Defines whether thermostatic or static valves are used in the pipes for the pipe network calculation.
In the Material section of the Settings, click Valves... to define specific manufacturer valves for the calculation in the Valves dialog.
Storey
Defines whether thermostatic or static valves are used in the pipes for the swan network calculation.
In the Material section of the Settings, click Valves... to define specific manufacturer valves for the calculation in the Valves dialog.
Plot
Distance between Consumers
Sets the clear distance between the consumers in the scheme.
Text Height
Sets the text height of the label.
Show Sheet Format
Enabled: The scheme is given a sheet frame including title block.
Label Consumer
Enabled: The consumers are labeled with the flow path number, mass flow, rate, capacity, and valve setting. The consumers are labeled only when the scheme is generated as a labeled plan. If you have selected w/o Labeling, consumers are also not labeled.
