Transferring Radiators or Cooling Convectors to a CAD Program

Shows step-by-step how to transfer radiators or cooling convectors that have already been dimensioned to your CAD program.

Before you begin

You would like to transfer in LINEAR Building designed radiators or cooling convectors into your CAD program.

Requirements:

  • You have designed the radiators or or cooling convectors.

  • You have opened a CAD program.

Procedure

  1. In the symbol bar, click to establish up the connection to your CAD program.
  2. Select a room, apartment or storey level in the building structure to transfer its radiators or cooling convectors to the CAD program.
  3. In the symbol bar, click the button to draw the radiators or cooling convectors into the CAD program.
  4. Select whether you would like to place the radiators or cooling convectors automatically beneath the windows or manually. If you select Place Manually, you have to move the radiator or cooling convector with the mouse to the desired location and place it by clicking.
Note: For buildings that were transferred from the CAD program without enveloping surfaces, the radiators or cooling convectors must always be positioned manually.
  5. If windows are considered when placing radiators or cooling convectors, you can choose between automatic and manual placement. All radiators or cooling convectors that cannot be placed beneath windows have to be placed manually. If you select Place Manually, you have to move the radiator or cooling convector with the mouse to the desired location and place it by clicking.

Results

LINEAR Building has placed the radiators or cooling convectors of the selected structural level in the CAD program and they are marked in LINEAR Building with a turquoise marker.
