Setting Radiators/Cooling Convectors Under Individual Windows

Shows step-by-step how to set radiators or cooling convectors only under certain windows.

Before you begin

You only want to design radiators or cooling convectors under certain windows in rooms.

In this example, the dimensioning is carried out at storey level. The procedure for dimensioning at project, building section and apartment or area level is identical.

Requirement:

You have already preselected a radiator or cooling convector model.

Note:

For a correct dimensioning of radiators or cooling convectors, an assumption of the heat or cooling load is unsuitable; a comprehensive calculation of the heat or cooling load is required.

Procedure

  1. If necessary, select the desired model series that you want to lay out in the Manufacturer and model series area.
  2. Adjust the Model options if necessary.
  3. Click on a check mark in column A for the windows under which you want to set a radiator or cooling convector.
    Tip:

If necessary, use one of the Show CAD element commands from the toolbar to display the exact location of the windows in the CAD building model.

Radiators or cooling convectors are laid out under the corresponding windows.
  4. If necessary, change the model series in the Manufacturer and model series area and place this model series under other windows.
    Tip:

To place radiators or cooling convectors under all windows in a room, set a check mark in the row of the corresponding room.

  5. If necessary, enable the Hide windows without radiators or Hide windows without cooling convectors checkbox to clear the table of unnecessary content.

Results

You have set radiators or cooling convectors under certain windows.

What to do next

In the next step, you can rework in detail the radiators or cooling convectors that were not optimally designed.
