Configuring Settings

Shows step-by-step how to configure the settings for the pipe network calculation of a scheme.

Before you begin

You would like to configure the settings for the pipe network calculation of a scheme.

Requirement:

All components required for the corresponding pipe run scheme are available in the scheme (e.g. boiler or gas furnace in a heating pipe run scheme).

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the project level is selected in the Building Structure so that the Settings button is visible.
  2. Click Settings.
    The project level Settings opens.

  3. In the Material section, click on Settings....
    The Settings dialog opens.

  4. If necessary, adjust the maximum pressure loss of the thermostatic valves and the pipe volume supplement for fittings and valves.
  5. Make further settings if required.
  6. Optional: Click Medium... to open the Medium dialog. In this dialog you can change the medium of the pipe network or, for example, adjust the viscosity of the medium.
  7. Click Basic conditions....
    The Basic conditions dialog opens.

  8. If necessary, adjust the conditions for dimensioning, thermostatic and regulating valves, differential pressure closed-loop controllers and hydraulic balancing and close the dialog with OK.
  9. Optional: Click on Heat Interface Unit and/or Buffer Storage to make settings for heat interface units and/or the buffer storage dimensioning.
  10. Close the dialog Settings with OK.

Results

You have configured the settings for the pipe network calculation of a scheme.
