About Pipes and Ducts

Explains the concept of the construction of pipes and ducts.

During the construction of pipes and ducts, pipes, ducts and fittings are inserted into the model. Generic pipe and duct systems and systems from different manufacturers are available. The selection of the pipe and the duct is made by selecting the manufacturer, the system and the dimension. Depending on the selected discipline, either the function Pipes < or Ducts < is displayed.

Install an appropriate data set to use manufacturer systems. Manufacturer datasets can be downloaded via the LINEAR Installation Center. Which dimensions are available depends on the selected system.

If you are working in an existing project that already contains pipe or duct systems that you have not installed as LINEAR dataset, these systems are available under the manufacturer name undefined.
