Transfer of Parameters for Ventilation Systems

Get basic information on how to transfer parameters for air handling units to the heating load calculation.

The volume flow rates as well as the system type are default included in the heat load by default. If you have not activated the Ventilation data option in the Analysis tab of the Architecture trade, the default setting for ventilation in LINEAR Building From ventilation zone setting is: no mechanical ventilation. When you activate Ventilation data, the corresponding ventilation system is activated at room level.

The following should be noted:

The detection searches only for actually installed flow capacities. If these are not specified, a search is made for specified design data. These are then inserted in the supply and extract air volume flow rate fields after they have been transferred and the ventilation system type is preset accordingly.
If in the LINEAR properties of the MEP space the extract air flow is selected depending on the supply air flow, then the specification under Extract air flow (calculated, actual, specified) is decisive for the adoption in LINEAR Building.
