About Level of Geometry

Explains the concept of using Level of Geometry (LoG).

Contextual embedding

The Level of Geometry (LoG) is a component of the model development levels of the Level of Development (LoD), which are specified in the BIM Execution plan (BEP). The Level of Geometry controls the level of detail of the geometry in the project. The display varies from symbols or coarse concept bodies to a detailed representation with manufacturer-specific features. In the Level of Geometry, interference spaces such as installation and operating spaces can also be defined for a component.

Use of the LoG in LINEAR Solutions

The model development level of the LoG for the display of the components can be set in each view. For this purpose, the individual development stages can be defined and adapted in the configuration. For each LoG the display of pipes and components can be set, as well as whether fixings, installation or operating spaces should be displayed.
