Conex | Bänninger company profile

IBP GmbH, based in Linden, Hessen, produces plumbing fittings and valves.  It is part of the international IBP Group, one of the global market leaders in the field of plumbing fittings. The IBP Group operates two production sites in Europe and employs around 1,000 people in production and sales.

All products are marketed under the umbrella brand Conex|Bänninger and are specially designed for supply technology and professional applications, such as domestic and commercial buildings. As well as producing traditional fittings, at Conex Bänninger we pride ourselves on innovation and expertise. In direct dialog with our customers in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and medical businesses, we are constantly evolving.

In addition to expertise and quality, the Conex|Bänninger brand has been synonymous with innovative products and solutions for more than 100 years. We have developed ranges such as >B< Press, >B< Push and the innovative >B< Oyster which offer flame free installation solutions. These are quick and easy to install.

In the summer of 2016, free-flow valves complemented the comprehensive assortment of installation technology and valves.

The plumbing fittings provides solutions for the installation types Pressing, Soldering & Screwing and Plugging.

In the press technology the series >B< includes press fittings made of copper, red brass, carbon and stainless steel. The patented o-ring (FKM, EPDM and HNBR) makes the fittings suitable for a wide range of applications - from potable water to heating and gas installations. IBP has developed a unique pressing indicator, a specially designed EPDM o-ring. It has a reduced section in two positions causing leaks at low pressures when not pressed (from 0.1 to 6.0 bar).

Our Series 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 8000 and Conex Compression are suitable solutions for every application in the field of soldering and screwing. The universal converter >B< Oyster complement this offer.

Once connected, Conex >B< Push remains firm but not fixed so it can be easily turned without becoming misaligned.  With a high quality o-ring (EPDM) and a stainless steel grab ring, >B<Push is the first choice for renovation, modernization and repairs.

The ACR and K65 series were specially developed for imperial air conditioning and refrigeration applications. ACR includes solder fittings made of copper or copper alloy and all fittings conform to Pressure Equipment Directives 97/23/EC. The K65 product series for 120 bar is developed for high-pressure pipeline systems, particularly for CO2 as a refrigerant.

For the new valves range, the >B< Valves series includes ball valves and installation valves.

Conex|Bänninger ball valves can be used for potable water, gas, heating installations and other industrial applications. All ball valves feature a stuffing box and a blow-out proof stem and are individually packaged as standard.

The installation fittings for potable water installations PN 16 are made of high-quality brass. They include free-flow valves with or without integrated backflow preventer, which is offered also separately. All valves are available with rising or non-rising top and are also packaged separately and hygienically.
